Just a quick question...

I've just started using "the big 3" to backup some of my dvds. When trying to backup Buffy Series 2 Disc 1 I disable the secondary french language and also the french subs in DoItFast4U! but it doesn't, as it says it the guides, show these in Reauthorist as Dummy files, in fact it doesn't show them at all. Also in Reauthorist it seems to have 2 (completely blank) Title Sets (VTS) extra... I only selected 1 in DoItFast4U!

Basically I'm trying to find out if I am doing something wrong or this is to be expected.

If that doesn't make sense i could post some screenshots if need be.

Thanks for the help

I guess your french audio is placed after the english audio, e.g. english has id 0x80 and french has 0x81.

In that case there's no need for RA to show it in it's interface when you deselected french audio in DIF4U. What RA will do, is create a dummy for the french track which will be imported properly in Scenarist when importing the script.

I guess your mentioned blank titlesets are created and shown by RA, 'cause the stuff you demuxed with DIF4U is placed in VTS03 for example.

In that case RA would create dummies for VTS01 & 02. So you'll have automatically the right names in your ifos and vobs after authoring with Scenarist and don't have to rename them for rebuilding the original structure of the DVD.

Don't forget that the big three are intended for full backups. If you demux only VTS03 for example, then VTS01&02 will be taken 1:1 for your backup and copied to the VIDEO_TS folder and RA places simple dummies so that your demuxed and reauthored stuff comes out with the same naming like in the original.

I hope I didn't express myself too complicated... :D
