Ok, I have a few questions pertaining to aspect ratios and settings in a few programs. I started out by filming my movie with my Sony TRV130 camera set at 16:9. I then transfered this file to my computer and edited it using Adobe Premiere 7. When I started the project I selected the Widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio for the project. I then exported the film once I was done as a Microsoft Video I AVI 16:9 as this format seemed to get the best quality video. I then used TMPGEnc to encode the AVI to mpeg2 so that I could put it onto a SVCD. When I used TMPGEnc I once again selected the aspect ratio as 16:9 525 line NTSC. However, once I created the SVCD, and played it on a normal 4:3 TV the image was all stretched out and I want it to be letterboxed. As you can probably tell I am very new to this kind of stuff and help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

You should export to DV AVI in the first place. Then I'd like to recommend DVD2SVCD in AVI2SVCD mode for you, as it can automate the process, and you'll get good quality.
