Hi!

It seems like I have some problems with vfw in WinXP.
If I create avis with tools like blink and smacker creator (that can convert bink and smacker files to av), or DVD-Lab, several PSX movie converters or the peops software playstation gpu plugind, then there is alway the header missing and I cannot use the files. If I look at them in a hex editor, at the beginning, there are only 0's, and then the avi frames I think. Because if I crate divx avis, I can repair them with avipreview. But with VirtualDub and Adobe Premiere the avi creation works flawlessly.
Is this a known vfw bug?

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks

Rumbah

corect me if i'm wrong but, i think you should look at the software that you are using .It's not vfw, converting from psx format etc is kinda buggy and not many people are really making programs for it IIRC, but like i said i think its more a conversion issue than anything else, ask the maker of the software about it.

Regards
cyph

Well, but I am the only one that has the problem. One other example is DVD-Lab. It simply creates uncompressed avi, but on my PC it does not work, but on my father's PC it works. And I am the onloy one in the DVD-Lab forum with this problem. It's the same with radgametools bink or PEOPS Playstation plugin. Or all these programs have the same bug...
