I was just curious why hardly anyone has posted about using Instantcopy 8? Is it that nobody has received it yet or just that it's not that much better then IstantCopy 7?

I was expecting to see a flood of posts about Instantcopy 8 user experiences, bugs, comparisons, ect...

I ordered my copy today from JandR.

I just got my copy from jandr today. Would have gotten it Friday but wasn't home and missed UPS dude. The exicitement isn't gonna be like when IC7 came out...I can guarantee ya that. Why? Because at that time there were very few competing programs out there, etc. It does have some nice additions though. Obviously they're working on an update to it just like they did with IC7.

Actually IC8 has several shortcomings.

1. Burning Directly to DVD never seems to create compliant DVD's
2. The high speed feature has trouble with sizing.

t1955feb,

I pushed it to the max in "high Speed" with Star Trek Next Generation episodic wanted to see the outcome. The DVD size was never under 5 gigs.

My leadtek tv card winfast pvr record on the fly to dvd and the dvd play's on my sony and philips standalone so i think there is a bug in the new instant copy....

Does it have a write to VIDEO_TS directory option or is that still not included?
