Finally a new beta version available.
(I assume all Doom members are beta testers :) )

- fixed negative Audio delay bug.
- fixed the bug in DVDAutor on selecting the Celltimes.txt file.
It allways used 'Celltimes.txt' instead of the selected file.
- added a messagebox in DVDPlay, that will display you the used DirectX filters.
This way you can find out what filters are used, and why DVDPlay isn't working.

I am a beta tester, but this file is not on Derrow's beta
test site. So, I am assuming he emailed beta testers with a
direct link. I have a new email address, so I did not get it.

I can't remember the exact technical reason(s) behind it, but the "DVD2DVDR/IfoEdit" association is not working properly with region 1 discs.
Is it something on your to-do list to fix, derrow? :D

Currently it is too dangourus to give IfoEdits source code out of my hands.

for the TODO:
how about making a DVD debugger based on IfoEdit. Meaning a tool which can start at the first play and by stepping through the pre/post commands executing the dvd, allowing to show the menus and making a button choice and continuing and so on...
This would be very useful in testing a rip-copy of a DVD to see whether audio and subs are still working and if not what to change.

No kidding. Companies are already ripping everyone off even without the source code. I dont know why you (Derrow), LightingUK, DVDShrink, and MenuEdits author dont get together and start a company. All of you are honest and have contributed so much to the scene. I would eagerly buy an all in one SuperProduct produced by you guys.

BTW, Good to see you back Derrow. Ifoedit is an amazing piece of software. Still things I can do with Ifoedit that cant do with any of the other stuff and I havent even tapped the power of the software.

I've asked all these guys for help to try and bring this tool together as I know it can be made. I've even asked for programmers to get in touch with me but still no joy and I'm pulling my hair out here as I know it can be done

now my DVDStripping tool is in it's infancy thanks to the one guy that did help me and it's better than what I had hoped for. I just thought it wuld be a stripper but it can be used for other things and it's slowly progressing. I would love to include a transcoder of some type but I know this is beyond my capabilities but not someone else's and that's why I'm still looking for people help me develop this tool we've made as I know it's what everyone would like to have

in time it will come, but why not don't we do it now??!??!? and not let some faceless company do it instead and make a mess of it anyway

I ain't a programmer but I do know how to rip a DVD to shreds and rebuild it again and make it work and a quite a few other little tricks when messing with DVD's

it's the other guys who have the skills at programming that can make this tool a reality and I can visualise it no problem and that's why I get so frustrated about it

If I was a programmer this tool would have been available ages ago but I ain't a programmer and nobody lives local :(

even back in April when I asked for the tool I'm making now with my mystery programmer, it could be done, so why don't we do an all in one and kick some a$$ now!

we are all little guys but together we can whup the a$$ of any company that would dare attempt to make such a dream tool. If only I had the programming skills of you guys :(

the guys know I've been pestering them but hopefully they may realise how serious I am and maybe do something about it now

there is a gap in the DVDBackup world so let's fill it before someone else does!

Yes, there is honor. There are also many time zones in this world, and things which get in the way of fun (like court - yes , I said court, but no worry, I'm not the defendant). Since I have no record of you I must forward the information to Derrow.

@hypo20: early access to the betas is a reward for having helped out in the past.

@all: IfoEdit0.96 has been released, and will be available shortly, for free, once it is mirrored. It may even be available at www.doom9.org already. However, the release version is a casualty of the new laws, and does not contain Macrovision removal.

i use to work with cmds of the dvds.And for that i need to copy cmds frm one VIDEO_TS.ifo to other.So far i don't have any problem BUT its a pain in ass to copy 500 cmds frm 45 differnt menu units.

So, i want to request/ask u that is it possible for u to make a extension within IFoedit , which take one video_ts.ifo(orginal) as input and other video_ts.ifo(authored) as output, then it check if the menus units of the output ifo is equal to input ifo , if YES then copy all the cmds frm original ifo to authored ifo to thier correspondent menus.

I would be only one who would be asking such things, but u are the only one who can do it.And ifoedit is ur baby.

@Dvd@Best, what about the VTS_PGCITTI_PGCs ? There is no way of copying those at all (without a hex copy 1:1 each)- and a view with the commands on top would be nice ... I know -- free pies ....

PGC is not a problem i can crate the same strucure in scenarist.The problem is copying the cmds.Thats why i said in my last post that "it shud check if output units is equal to input then copy all cmds "

Yeah, but dvddecryptor removes the macro anyway, so not a big deal with that. I see the updates/fixes aren't posted yet the last time I looked. Will those be up anytime soon?
