hi !

i have a DivX .avi source with 23.976 fps
i frameserved it with VirtualDub after proper resizing to 720x480
i encoded the .vdr in mpeg 2 with CCE, and seem to get a correct m2v file
at 23.976
for testing, my source is 1 min long, and the result is also 1 min long (according to MediaPayerClassic playback)

i can't author it directly with iFoEdit because of non standard framerate, anyway if i do it, on my DVD it stops short after a few seconds playback

i have to pulldown the video before (according to the guides i've read), but when i run pulldown.exe on my .m2v file, i have 2 problems :
- after authoring in ifoEdit, no error but the progression bar ends at more than 100 % (foe ex process is finished at 2532%)
- after burning, the movie stops short after 10 seconds or so playback
- i noticed that if i play the pulldowned mpeg 2 file in Media Player Classic, duration is no more noted as 1 min long, but as 24s or so, even if during playback it continues normally beyond that time till the end of the movie (the timing stays at 24s during the end of the playback)

Any idea will be helpful... thanks a lot

ps 1 : the whole process (i skipped the audio part in my description above) works with no problem with a PAL source, my DVD player plays it perfectly
(it's a multizone one, PAL / NTSC compatible)

ps 2 : the answer is somewhere around here i guess but could'nt find it, sorry...:( :(

Hey,

Have you been able to resolve this issue. I've been getting shorter post-pulldown video files as well. Let us know if you found out how to fix this.

Thanks,
Haris
