How do you adjust the DELAY (.ac3) from dvd2avi in maestro?

Hello,

After demuxing from DVD2AVI, we get an ac3 file with a DELAY value in the audio file. How can we adjust that delay in Maestro?

I have a file that has -66ms as delay, but I dont see where you can adjust that in Maestro.

Is it important/neccessary to adjust it?

I've done dozens of movies with Maestro and had ac3 tracks with that amount of delay and more and never adjusted it and the audio is always in perfect sync. I believe I read somewhere that Maestro will sync an ac3 track to the video. The same does NOT apply to the DTS track. If you notice you cannot drag the ac3 track along the timeline, but you can the DTS track till it is in sync.

Andykard, I think the audio is out of sync, you just don't notice it :) You can check the delay after reauthoring, after all, and find out for yourself :)

And you can drag AC3 audio to the right (2 ms increments, I've found).

In this case I'd cut 2 frames, creating a +1 ms delay (-63 + 2x32). Then if you want to be exact, drag 1ms to the right in Maestro. In other cases the delay can be a bit larger after cutting, e.g. -82 ms would end up as +14 (-82 + 3x32).
