Bought a 25-pcs spindle of this brand (3T Pro) about 2 months ago.

DVDInfo said RITEKG03, which made me happy since I was looking for cheap 1x-2x media with decent quality.

Next month i bought a new one. Same spindle BUT the price had dropped!!! (359 Swedish Crowns, that's about $46.00 or £27.00 for a 25-pcs spindle)
Just in case I checked the dye on these in DVDInfo! The manufacturer had changed...... from ritekg03 to "MCC00RG200", that's Mitsubishi = Verbatim right?

Now I ask myself, why would they drop the price AND put a more expensive layer at these discs?

Don't you think £1.00/$2.00 for a real Verbatim disc sounds a little too cheap to be true?
Another suspicious thing is that my PS2 won't play backups burnt on these, but it plays the RITEKG03 and RITEKG04 fine (use my Pioneer A05 f/w 1.33 to do the backups).

Sorry Alexnoe. That should be £1.00 (or $2.00).
I edited the post.

Well, for $2, it could be real Verbatim media. I could get it at 2,09 Euro per piece in juwel cases.
