hi there all - have a question... i have ripped a main movie and one feature from a dvd for divx conversion but decided to leave the vob and ifo files on the HD in anticipation of purchasing a writer. Now that i bought one i wanted to make a dvd copy of it. It is about 6.5gb in size and so need to reduce the size but trying to open it in dvdshrink it doesnt recognise it as a valid source. The files i have are:
Default.PLS
Vts_01_0.ifo
Vts_01_1.vob
Vts_01_2.vob
Vts_01_3.vob
Vts_01_4.vob
Vts_01_5.vob
Vts_01_6.vob
Vts_04_0.ifo
Vts_04_1.vob
Vts_05_0.ifo
Vts_05_1.vob
Vts_06_0.ifo
Vts_06_1.vob
all in a folder i called 'dvdrip'
any ideas how to make these into a nice playing dvd?
cheers
michel

You need a VIDEO_TS.IFO which you can make with "DVD Tools" or "DVD Fab" (thats not free since a week or so)

Its probably better to re-name the second third and fourth to:
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_1.VOB
VTS_03_0.IFO
VTS_03_1.VOB
VTS_04_0.IFO
VTS_04_1.VOB

DVD Shrink is probably telling you during analysis that your files are unacceptable because it reads your IFOs and it's seeing menu VOBs(VTS_*_0.VOBs) present and you don't have any. Especially your VTS_01 titleset as is common that you would have a VTS_01_0.IFO to accompany your main movie. You can create new IFOs for each Titleset using IFOedit so that the IFOs will corrected for no menus.
