why can't Ratio slider in DVD Shrink be lowered all the way?

I'm having a problem with DVD Shrink 3.0 beta 5. When doing a variable mode compression, why can't I lower the ratio bar to very low values, like 25% or less? It seems that Shrink automatically determines the lowest percentage it can go based on other options (eg, Audio streams selected in the titleset, etc). On some titles, I can't lower it below 50%. This makes it impossible for me to shrink some titlesets onto a DVD 5.

For example, the recent Region 1 release of TITANIC (1953). This contains two title sets I want to keep (movie and documentary). I select 'NO compression' on the movie (which is only 3.1 GB), and want to include the documentary on the remaining space of the blank DVD-R (1.6 GB). When I select 'ratio' compression on the documentary title, shrink won't let me lower the 'ratio' slider below 50%, making it impossible to re-author this disc to a DVD-5.

Is this behavior a known issue or bug with DVD-Shrink, or am I missing something in the re-author process?

Hello zyzzle77. :)

This is indeed a DVD Shrink known-issue.
It is due to its compression algorithm (or something like that).:D

One workaround is to use Shrink twice.
Choose "No compression" for the main title so it will be left untouched, and as much compression as you can on the documentary.
Backup!
Then use DVD Shrink "Open Files" to compress the documentary a second time, using once again "No compression" on the movie.
