View Full Version : Replacing an .ac3 stream in a commercial .VOB file

The titleset of my DVD is the Region 1 Weird Science DVD. It is ripped completely on the harddrive, with correct .VOB and .IFO structure.

There is no 2-ch .AC3 audio track in the re-issue of this title. I am trying to replace the Dolby 6 channel .AC3 file with the original mono soundtrack found on the previous DVD release of WEIRD SCIENCE. How can I demux the 6-ch and subsequently mux in the 2-ch .AC3 stream, and then reauthor the Movie-only in DVD Shrink 3.0 beta 5 without errors?

I have tried the multiplex/demultiplex option in TMPGEnc and then reauthored in TMGEnc DVDAuthor. But then, DVD Shrink refuses to perform a 'deep analysis' of the title... It stops at 1% saying that Encypted Data has been detected, when the whole movie has no CSS encryption at all! (used DVDDecrypter to get it on the HD in the first place).

Doing a 'Get VTS -sectors' in IFO-Edit 0.95 also does not work.

Any advice on accomplishing this? Or is it a bug in Shrink?

Thanks
