Not long before I used nero 5 for burning DiVX files to DVD+R.
The options I used were ISO/UDF format.
Now I upgraded to nero 6 and it looked great for a while.
I found out, that nero 6 burns differently files to dvd !
In old nero files were burned in alphabetical order which is suppose to be standard and by the book.
This new nero burns files backwards ?!?!? Insted of burning first file in alphabetical order, it burns the last (EX: vol_02 instead vol_01) file first ! It does not help, if I manually put files one by one in order in burn window-- it always starts by last file in alphabet. Another proof is, that the files that are behind other files by alphabet order are beiing read slower by dvd reader. Isn't it right, that the files burnt closer to the center of dvd (or CD too) medium are beiing read slower, then the ones burned on outer "rings" of medium ?
I even tried to burn a DVD Video movie with new nero and ofcourse(like to many others) my dvd-video player did not play it well.
Even computer dvd had problems. PowerDVD sad to me, when tried to skip to another part of movie, that dvd is unreadable. I tried scan disk and the dvd is burned OK( no errors), but the files were burned backwards !?? Scan disk is a tool, that starts to read medium from beggining (inner of disc) to end (outer of disc) and it started with file "vts_02_4.vob" ?!??'- which is the last in alhabet.
This is very strange. When I try to burn with RecordNow it burns OK and by the book -- in alhabet. And Video-DVD is perfectly readable in my DVD-video player(same vobs as tried in nero). I don't know if burning the files backwards is a problem for dvd-video, but it certainly does not help, since vobs continue to one another and insted of dvd player continuing to another vob next in line, it has to jump to another part of disc (backwards) to continue in next vob. No wonder that on the dvd-video disc burned with nero is impossible to forward and backward the movie. Strange. Sorry for long post, but I needed to describe the problem in detail. Please, wrote down your tests with new nero and you opinions.

Luke
