got an avi file but without sound. is there a way of making some kind of fusion between video and audio without having to re-rip ?
and what do i have to do exactly so that i can start the encoding job and get a normal (image+sound) when the "job" is done ?? by this i mean, what options do i have to select ? remember, this is the first time im using Gordian Rippack and one of the first times i rip a movie, so please dont hesitate on the details :)

Seems like you haven't muxed (joined) the audio to the video...

If you used GK as you should you must have converted the AC3 Audiotrack to WAV, by using DVD2AVI... (should be placed in the same folder where the video file is)

- Open VDub
- Open your video file
- Set "video" to "direct stream copy"
- Set "audio" to "WAV source"
- Chose the source (the WAV file)
- Chose "full processing mode" under "audio"
- Set "resample to 44kHz under "audio/conversation"
- Chose your compression (mp3/ogg or else) under "audio/compression"
- Save now the file under "File/save as AVI"

Thats it....

If you want keep the original AC3, you have to demux (extract) it from your ripped VOB files, and then use VDubMod and chose "streams->chose the AC3->direct stream copy"

Or you read the Doom9 guides to learn all this by your self !!! :D :D :D

[PS: Just a small easy way example... To lazy to write it better ! ;)]
