Switch from SVCD to DVD

Hi Everyone,

I would like to ask for some advise.

I starded experimentating with the D2S program and after a few times encoding i ended up with several problems and questions as also the too large disks problem with TMPGenc's CQ.

I tried different things to correct this, restarted from mux and cut and re-encoded the movie with settings advised in the forum.
By the time i wanted to try CCE i looked at my old Plextor writer and thought, hmm why not buy this new Plextor 708A "Do-it-All drive"
so i could burn the whole thing on one DVD instead of cutting in 2 cd's...

So now i am the happy owner of the superb 8 speed DVD burner, but i think i better SWITCH to DVD copying techniques instead of burning the highest svcd quality rip to a DVD....

Only there is this problem, ... the DVD's i wanted to process, i ripped them to HDD by using the D2S's batch prepare methode....
So now i am not sure what technique i should use to make DVD's again from these directory's! As i can see some D2S stuff in it, and the IFO-file and VOB-files, but i guess the should be more..!?

When i try to play from directory with the WINDVD program, i receive an error.

So, what shall i do with these batch prepared directory's as we imagine i do not have the DVD's anymore... I have...okay, but an man's gotta learn by doing, so... :D

I don't know what happend to the replys in this thread but i would like to say for any one who has or had a simmilar problem like i did, that i been able to solve this problem, this way:

The DVD files i had ripped with D2S to my hardrive were done with batchprepare mode of D2S and you it rips the mainmovie only.
The only way to finish these files easy was to finish m in D2S, but i wanted to continuie in making DVD's out of it instead of SVCDs'.

Besides the option to switch D2S to DVD mode and make DVD's with these files along with Scenarist, i found out that i could rewrite the index file or "Video manager" (VIDEO_TS.IFO) by the program: DVDFAB!

Now the mainmovie only files could be read in any DVDcopy program again to edit them, as even all the audiotracks and subpictures were still there.

So if u ripped for some reason mainmovie only by DVDdecrypter or DVD2SVCD and you have no main .ifo anymore you can let DVDFab fix it for you!!
