@LIGHTNING UK!

In 3.1.6.0, you gave us the option to rip our PGCs in VOB-ids, Cell ids, blah blah blah ...

Can we have those same options in ripping "menu" VOBs as well. There are some people, like me, that can utilize an individual cell VOB for inputting into a VOB accepting DVD authoring software, like DVD Lab and TMPGenc DVD Author. This is great because the subs are still muxed in. We don't have to necessarily have to use elementary streams though a second new option on ripping menu VOB streams would be also great. These VOBs will be used for creating motion or still menus.

I take it then that File mode isnt up to the task? It obviously does it on a file level rather than pgc level but it can still do the vobid / cellid splitting.

I did a quick experiment.

Used Bending like Beckham ( great movie btw). Took VTS_04 menu vob. Ripped using DVDDecrypter in file mode.

Brought into DVD-Lab and created "movie" to play. It plays fine but I noticed there are a number of single frame stills at the front and back. So you would not be able to use the VOB as it comes out of DVDDecrypter anyway.

You will need to post process this vob and selectively strip out the part you want to use.

Yes, it would be nice to have but I'm not sure it buys us that much.

I was going to reply when I got home. The menu VOB is not broken down to VOB ids or Cell IDs like it does for PGCs in IFO mode. I have a clean non transistional menu in V/C Id: 1 / 2 and would like to get Cell 2 on the fly instead of using VOBedit to demux into cells.

That's why windtrader had still frames because the menu VOB wasn't broken up into separate cell VOBs.
