I've recently started backing up my copy of 24, I'm using the Big 3 method, everything works great, I put disk that I've burned into my player and it starts off with the 1st episode, instead of the the menu, I hit the menu button on my remote and sure enough theres the a working menu, how can I fix this so the menu start first instead of the first episode

I think this is not the most appropiate forum for your question. It would be better to put it in the ifo/vob editor forum.

(BTW the original does start with the menu? because that would mena that if the backup doesn't something went wrong).

But to get back to your question: you should open your video_ts.ifo with ifoedit and go to VMGM_MAT click on first play pgc. In the lower window browse down to the PGC command table. There you'll find some jump (probably a pre-command). Change this jump to jump to the menu.
