I've been researching this problem for weeks and can't seem to find a solid solution, so I decided to make a post for it. I'm doing a backup that has 6 title sets, and I'm re-encoding sets 1, 4, and 5 using the big 3 method and doom9's guide. Sets 1 and 4 only have 1 PGC and work perfectly fine after reauthoring in scenarist. The 5th title set has 3 PGC's, and after authoring, the menu for that title set is wrong. The first button goes to the first PGC fine, but the 2nd button starts somewhere in the 3rd PGC, and the 3rd button just loops back to the menu. I've found that the cell times in the original IFO and my new one do not match, this is the original:
PGC_1 (program chain): [Title(TTN): 1] [00:25:43.05 / 30 fps] (Programs: 2) (Cells: 2) (uses VOB-IDs: 1)
[Ch 01] [Pg 01] [Cell 01] [V/C Id: 1/ 1] : time: 00:25:41.25 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:25:41.25] [Frames: 46255]
[Ch 02] [Pg 02] [Cell 02] [V/C Id: 1/ 2] : time: 00:00:01.10 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:25:43.05] [Frames: 46295]
PGC_2 (program chain): [Title(TTN): 2] [00:18:36.00 / 30 fps] (Programs: 2) (Cells: 2) (uses VOB-IDs: 2)
[Ch 01] [Pg 01] [Cell 01] [V/C Id: 2/ 1] : time: 00:18:34.20 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:18:34.20] [Frames: 33440]
[Ch 02] [Pg 02] [Cell 02] [V/C Id: 2/ 2] : time: 00:00:01.10 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:18:36.00] [Frames: 33480]
PGC_3 (program chain): [Title(TTN): 3] [00:24:20.10 / 30 fps] (Programs: 2) (Cells: 2) (uses VOB-IDs: 3)
[Ch 01] [Pg 01] [Cell 01] [V/C Id: 3/ 1] : time: 00:24:19.00 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:24:19.00] [Frames: 43770]
[Ch 02] [Pg 02] [Cell 02] [V/C Id: 3/ 2] : time: 00:00:01.10 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:24:20.10] [Frames: 43810]
and here is the new one:
PGC_1 (program chain): [Title(TTN): 1] [00:25:43.02 / 30 fps] (Programs: 2) (Cells: 2) (uses VOB-IDs: 1)
[Ch 01] [Pg 01] [Cell 01] [V/C Id: 1/ 1] : time: 00:25:40.22 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:25:40.22] [Frames: 46222]
[Ch 02] [Pg 02] [Cell 02] [V/C Id: 1/ 2] : time: 00:00:02.10 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:25:43.02] [Frames: 46292]
PGC_2 (program chain): [Title(TTN): 2] [00:18:34.22 / 30 fps] (Programs: 2) (Cells: 2) (uses VOB-IDs: 2)
[Ch 01] [Pg 01] [Cell 01] [V/C Id: 2/ 1] : time: 00:18:33.16 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:18:33.16] [Frames: 33406]
[Ch 02] [Pg 02] [Cell 02] [V/C Id: 2/ 2] : time: 00:00:01.06 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:18:34.22] [Frames: 33442]
PGC_3 (program chain): [Title(TTN): 3] [00:24:18.23 / 30 fps] (Programs: 2) (Cells: 2) (uses VOB-IDs: 3)
[Ch 01] [Pg 01] [Cell 01] [V/C Id: 3/ 1] : time: 00:24:17.28 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:24:17.28] [Frames: 43738]
[Ch 02] [Pg 02] [Cell 02] [V/C Id: 3/ 2] : time: 00:00:00.25 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:24:18.23] [Frames: 43763]
I've tried using IFOUpdate, manually extracting chapters, manually extracting celltimes with IFOEdit, changing the times manually in scenarist under the scenes setting, nothing seems to get around this. I've also read some threads about possible bugs in DVDDecrypter 3.1.6.0, and in DVD2AVI 1.77, some problems in demuxing. One thing I did find interesting was in my VIDEO_TS folder that DIF4U created with my original files, the wrong celltimes were also in that IFO, I thought those files were supposed to be unchanged from the original. I even tried IFOUpdate using the original IFO's from the disc image, but it just gave me an error and closed. If anyone knows a way to correct where these menu buttons lead to, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
