first of all, let me say I love the program.
I am just having a lot of trouble finding information on the following topics on the internet (yes, I have searched google, doom9, digital-digest, afterdawn etc).
1. I am making a svcd that has 16:9 aspect ratio, but encoded as 4:3 (with borders added). I want subtitles. what y-pos do I set the subtitles to so that they are in the bottom border?
2. I am having trouble configuring a svcd with 2 audio tracks (1 is the main, 2 is a commentary). In order to have the svcd set to the svcd specification, audio 2 has to be set to a birtate of 32 kbps! Is there any way to get an increased rate?
how about if I ignore the warning that total birtate is more than the specification? I know that the disc may not play on all dvd players, and I don't want this.
3. I would like some more information on encoding chapters. I use the pbc use playlist setting in vcdx builder in cd-image tab. With the first few discs I did, I could not skip chapters... I am burning another today, will let you know how I go.
also - can you set dvd2svcd so that a disc-change occurs at a chapter-change?
4. If, in the bitrate tab, I select 800MB CDs, and then I go to Nero to burn, Nero adds a few files of it's own. this makes the cd over 800MB and it won't burn the cd! how do I get over this?
I want to select 800MB, not 740 as I will get more data on an 800MB disc... better quality! right?
5. is it possible to use an authoring program after dvd2svcd has done all it's work? i.e. to make menu's / chapter settings etc.
I'm only asking because now I will have 2 or more MPG files to work with. eg. what if there is a disc change required during a chapter?
thanks
Andrew
