What is the simplest way to add chapters into existing DVD

Please suggest the simplest way(s) to add chapters (without a menu) to my home movies on DVD. I need to be able just to press “next” or “prev” button on a remote and skip to the next part of the movie. It not necessarily need to be tied to a scene it can be just 10 minutes intervals.

Thanks for any ideas (if not how to do that at least what guide should I read)

You can use the authoring mode of ifoedit. Demux your movie, remux and specify the chapter times. Best of all, it is free :).
