*** New website. Oh, and does anyone still use DoItFast4U? ***

I've launched a new website at http://www.doitfast4u.com (http://eyesonly.panthersden.com), also temporarily at http://eyesonly.panthersden.com while I work out some DNS issues.

This page was created to demonstrate working knowledge of Coldfusion MX techniques, as well as serve as the new homepage for my software app-- DoItFast4U! Among the new features, you'll notice there is now a searchable knowledgebase, for ease of user troubleshooting. Feel free to submit ideas for entries into this knowledgebase, as I'd like to see it grow and become even more useful than it currently is.

As you may have noticed, there haven't been any new updates with DoItFast4U! In a while. In case you are wondering why, let me remind the many users of DoItFast4U! ("many" assumed because I get over 300 hits per day) that there has not been a single donation made to me regarding DoItFast4U! (which I thought was a worthwhile-cause) in over two months, which must mean that no one is using my app, right? And if no one is using it, there's no need for me to continue to update it, is there? I'm currently unemployed, and I really can't work on projects that bring in absolutely no revenue. I'm not going to belittle users, or call them names. I'm just going to ask politely that if you want this project to continue, you show it.

So, if you want to see this project continue on it's journey to self-enlightenment, I urge you to prove that people really still are using my software by donating (http://www.doitfast4u.com), getting your friends that use my software to donate (http://www.doitfast4u.com), getting the people you barely know through IRC or IM to donate (http://www.doitfast4u.com), etc.

I hope the donations are rolling in for you Eyes`Only, there is no doubt they are all well deserved for the effort that has been put into DoItFast4U to date, and just as importantly what is required to keep on supporting it.

I'm no rocket scientist, but of if only around one quarter of the registered Doom9 forum members use DoItFast4U, and of that only 1 out of 10 actually donate something like $10 each, then I'd imagine a good deal of the financial cost that you are currently paying yourself in time, hardware, website & DNS hosting would be atleast covered.

Thanks brashquido, burnttoast. So far, out of almost 1000 downloads, I've gotten 7 donations. Although that's better than none, it's certainly not ideal :(

@brashquido: I've I'd get a dollar for every unique visitor I would have my own private jet. Unfortunately, taking is more prevalent in this world than giving so the programmers and webmasters out there will stay poor. :(

That's a very fair comment there Doom9, how could I've forgotten the efforts you've put into developing and maintaining such a site, and for that matter all the other people in a similar position who put in a significant amount of their time and interlectual property :o .

The only way I can think of that will "encourage" people to donate is if their "donation" entitles them to something which they otherwise would not have access to. As to what this could be, I don't know.
