Is SmartRipper suppose to work in XP? The START button is missing in XP. Thanks for any feedback.

Yes.

1. Did you input a destination directory?
2. Try deleting you smart.ini file and restarting SmartRipper. Again, make sure you input a destination directory.
3. Get another SmartRipper.exe. Maybe the one you have is corrupted.
4. Use DVD Decrypter. Smartripper 2.41 has been around for awhile with so it hasn't been updated. But, it still has some features that DVD Decrypter doesn't have like decrypting files already on your harddrive and a better control on custom VOB sizes.

Thanks 2cool. I did a search and found out that SmartRipper may not solve my problem. I wanted to do a backup of the Simpsons but looks like if I don't want to wait for the next version of DvdDecrypter, I have to use InfoEdit which I have not use in a very long time since DVD2one and other tools made back up easy. I was thinking the SmartRipper may not have the region bug but I guess not after some research. Thanks for your quick response.
