Hi, I hope this is the appropriate forum.
I'm no longer able to run Gspot: when it starts the two bars in the video and audio codecs sections arrive until about half their length and then the program freezes.
Also the PC is died until I press the magic Ctrl-Alt-Canc and kill GSpot.
Any idea ?

I bet u must have installed somekind of Codecpacks. This is the problem.I suggest to uninstall all the installed codecs and restart and then installonly the required ones.;)

Yes Gspot freezes if you have broken codecs, had similiar problem with old ffdshow alpha.

Thank you, but I'm sure I didn't install codecpacks or similar stuff recently, execpt the latest versions of Divx Pro (purchased).
BTW, also Media Player Classic has problems: it crashes and then every program I run or close after crashes too.
A question: how to uninstall codecs that don't have an Uninstall entry in Control Panel or Start Menu ? (I'm running Win98)
Bye!

Start GSpot without opening video and disable Audio & Video "stat" until you've fixed your CODEC problem.
