Ive done a couple of dvdsfrom the info in your guides which work great but i have a couple of questions.

Ive used the single vob replacement method to strip out the unwanted logos and warnings before the movie but after the movie the menu selected button is on scene selection, how can i default this back to the play button.

Also using the vob replacememt method (im doin the italian job pal (old film not the new one) ive replaced the logos which work great but if i try to replace the language selection button screen that comes up at the start (which is VIDEO_TS.VOB) it doesnt play passed there (its not the language selection in the main menu) the only way is to jump straight to the title set from first play is there something extra i need to do to replace a menu vob.

Also on some dvds if you leave the menu play it goes to scene selections how do i get it to loop back to the beggining of the menu.

Thanks

Though I haven't done, it is possible to have all your menu play a 15ms blank clip. Same concept with blanking out a multi PGC Titleset.

Sorry if i havnt been clear enough, what im saying is after the movie ends it goes back to the main menu with the scene selection button highlighted by default i want to make the play button default.

Also on some dvds at the beggining if the menu is left playing it goes to the scene selection menu unlike some dvds which just loop the menu if no button is pressed.

Thanks

It could also be that your menu cell's still time in Cell Playback is set for a certain amount of seconds and there is a cell command also for this cell to jump to your scene selection menu after menu's set time is up.

Im having a problem with subtitles, the particular dvd im working on (twin warriors pal) ive only stripped the logos and warnings (i havnt stripped anything out the film set) but if i play on my pc the subtitles are off by default but if i burn a disc and play in my standalone the subtitles are on by default, i have tried your guide to turn them off by default but in my standalone they still appear, is a different method required for standalones.

Just a dumb question but is your subtitles on your DVD player set to play on. It's just that I was at a friend's house watching one of my backups and the subtitles came on. I knew for sure that I didn't have it set as default on. It seems that he had pressed his subtitles button on his remote a few days ago and it was set to on all that time, even if he turned the player it off.

But if this isn't the problem, trying viewing your backup in IFOedit. Look at your your subtitles field in your DVD Play panel and see if any subtitles show when your movie plays. You shouldn't get any. If it does, then maybe you didn't put the right hex code in. What hex code did you use?

I followed your instructions as best i could:

[51 00 00 00 be 00 00

But the strange thing was when i set (SetSTN) Set Subpicture Stream: 30(On) as the comand it came up (SetSTN) Set Subpicture Stream: 30(Off) i could not set it on, like you said in your guide it could become confusing because it was the opposite way round.

ive checked my player and subtitles are set to off. Ive been looking at your changing subpictures/audio attributes post, the dvd im doing has 2 subpicture streams, can i tell the dvd to play (lets say) subpicture 5 by default where there is no subpicture 5 so nothing will be displayed by default.

Go ahead and try it. It should work.
