Hi there, first post, first question.
I am learning how to encode DivX movies. Doom9's guides, and others, are being invaluable. But I have one problem (well, more than one but this post is about one of them).
When the original DVD movie has more than one audio track, I mean, it has the main audio and let's say a Director's comments audio track, I like to encode both audio tracks in the .avi file so I can select which one I want to listen easily.
Using Gordian Knot, it's easy to do this. In one movie, I encoded three audio tracks, using VirtualDubMod directly.
Then comes the problem. If I use Media Player Classic to play such movies, I have no problem at all but if I try to use Windows Media Player (currently, I have the series 9 one), WMP will NOT play them, WMP will give me that "WMP has encountered a problem and needs to close" message and it will then close. Note that WMP plays my encoded movies if they have just one audio track.
Does anyone know of this problem? Why WMP can't play movies encoded with more than one audio track? Any idea?
