I'm still lost and reading the other thread I'm still lost!

Simpsons s3 d2 VTS_06_01.VOB is only 53MB, yet it has 249 VOB ID's in the Titleset

so what's the maximum VOB ID's you can have in a VTS?

and VOB ID's have Cell ID's so could you have a VOB ID of 999 and then a Cell ID of 999 or 99?

V/C ID 999/99? or 999/999?

just say I have 3 PGC in a titleset

is it right I can only have 99 VOB ID's in each PGC? or is it 99 entries?

if each PGC had 99 VOB ID's which had 5 cells, would that be 495 cells in the PGC?

There is some independance between the maximums. And I didn't state the VobID/CellID max because I wasn't sure about the number of VobIDs. The field is 16-bits, which would suggest 65,535 (you cannot have a VobID of 0), but it could be restricted to 32,767 for the same reason as the max PGCs per titleset. I haven't seen a definitive answer, or a DVD that even came close. The logical choice to me would be 32,767

CellID may range from 1 to 255 (so there can be up to 255 cells per VobID).

The max VobIDs per PGC would be 255 if each VobID had only one cell. PGCs are limited to 255 cells, meaning VobID/CellID combinations.

PGCs are limited to 99 programs, but programs can have as many as 255 cells. A program is merely an entry point into the list of cells.
