Error in DVDFAB, no bup. files being created

So I get an error when splitting the file for the Deer Hunter. It split the movie into two disks, but there is no bup files, so I can't burn it onto a disk.

What is causing this?
What is a BUP file?
How do I correct this?

Load each .IFO file into IfoEdit, press save and answer to the question "save as BUP?" YES.

BUP = backup (IFO)
