Hello all,

on a w2k machine with sp4 installed and all windows security items
i have installed version 1.1.3 build 2 and encounter a strange problem

if i want to do a conversion from avi to mpeg with subs and no creation of a bin a cue the programm starts with extracting the audio
so far so good. then it launches besweet ( settings are->
bitrate 224 no downmix sample, detect azid gain and output mode is stereo cause for some odd reason thats only working )

be stweet is calculating something i assume and goes to transcoding...
for a avi with the length of 1:30 min it takes about 5 a 6 hours on a p4 2.8. When i end the besweet it starts encoding with the video.

if i do a manually conversion with the besweet gui, froms Extraced_audio.mpa to Encoded_audio.mp2 it takes about 3-4 mins.

This is from the log from dvd2svcd
"J:\DVD2SVCD\DVD2SVCD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "J:\DVD2SVCD\DVD2SVCD\Movie\audio\Extracted_audio_1.wav" -output "J:\DVD2SVCD\DVD2SVCD\Movie\audio\Encoded_audio_1.mp2" -logfile "J:\DVD2SVCD\DVD2SVCD\Movie\audio\Encoded_audio_1.log" ) -ota( -g max -r 23976 25000 ) -shibatch( --rate 48000 ) -2lame( -e -b 224 -m s )

This is the commandline from besweet gui
"j:\DVD2SVCD\DVD2SVCD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "j:\DVD2SVCD\DVD2SVCD\movie001\audio\Extracted_audio_1.wav" -output "j:\DVD2SVCD\DVD2SVCD\movie001\audio\Encoded_audio_1.mp2" ) -ota( -r 23976 25000 -g max ) -2lame( -m s -b 224 -e ) -profile( ~~~~~ Default Profile ~~~~~ )

some one got a sollution ? or encountered the same probs ?

i read in another newsreader that someone encountered problems caused by the update from mediaplayer 9 so i did a rollback but that didn't solve the problem....

Kind Regards,

Joe

After an update to version 1.2.1 build 2
all works okay now exept that in the former release i got
i used to use the batch, can someone please confirm that this is broke or not ? it just hangs even with files i already converted once using a batch file.
I have 2 things that can happen 1: my system just hangs and i have to kill dvd2svcd and kill its prosess
or it gives an error on dvd2avi wich will write an entry in the system error log. but it never writes one....

Kind Regards,

J

then at Project Posistion=60 the system just hangs it consumes 100% cpu and if i don't kill the process. Can anyone help me out please ?

Kind regards,

J
