I'm new to this and still learning. In reading through this forum it seems I'm the only one getting the weird problem described below. Here's what I do as a learning test:

1) I use VOBEdit to demux all streams from the DVD Bram Stoker's Dracula. I got 1 M2V, 4 AC3, and 2 SUP streams. Also obtained a CellTimes.txt file.

2) Trying to put those streams back together, I run IFOEdit 0.95 and select DVD Author. On the popup dialog I add those streams above, import the CellTimes.txt file to set the position, then click OK to start authoring.

IFOEdit fails with this error message:

"INTERNAL ERROR: additional data required but no free space in input buffer."

What happens here? My system should be able to handle this task. It's a PIII 1.2GHz machine running WinXP with 5GB free space on drive C: and 70 GB free space on drive D:. I also check the memory. Out of 256MB RAM, 120MB are still free memory. That should be enough, isn't it? How much memory (or disk space) does IFOEdit need for input buffer? On my machine, the environment parameters are set so Windows uses the hard disk with lots of free space for buffer and working areas. So if IFOEdit uses the disk for input buffer, that should be OK. No?

Someone, please tell me how possibly this error could occur, and what I could do to avoid it. Thank you very much in advance. With tremendous brainpower on this forum, it would be amazing if we find no answer to this. I'm looking forward to whatever suggestions you could give. Again, thanks.

How about doing a search on the error message you got:

11 hits on "no free space in input buffer" ...

Thanks, Lord.
I run the search you suggest. I'm happy I'm not alone in this. Look like the situation is normal and people just try to live with it. I only wonder why this curious feature only appears to some people and not to others.
