I currently use IC7 to copy DVDs. It takes 2-4 hours per DVD to copy, but I'm not generally in any hurry.
Is there any functionality in IC8 that makes it a compelling upgrade? I sort of scanned the feature list, but nothing said 'spend $30 in me!'.
Can anyone who has chosen to upgrade list the most valuable improvements to them?

I too am a registered owner of IC7.
I don't think that the final version of IC8 has been released although it can be purchased.
Seems noone has posted a version number other than the leaked beta version. Think it was 800.125, don't remember exactly.
Suppose to have addressed the sizing issue fairly effectively.
I'm certain once it has shipped, we'll hear plenty about it.
Just for the record, I never got my rebate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too am a registered owner of IC7. As a registered owner they sent me an e-mail today offering me free shipping and 10% off the $29.99 price tag if I upgrade before 9/30/2003. So by saving the $8.50 s&h and $2.999 off the price it would appear that the first impressions of the NEW version aren't meeting projected expectations. We shall see. For now, I will hold on to my cash and wait and see. Personally, I have been using Shrink the last few weeks and the speed and quality of Shrink is very close if not better that IC7. But, like I said, I will wait and see.
BTW, I too did NOT receive my rebate check either!

Well, I'm a legal but unregistered owner of IC 7, but I still got my rebate. Those of you who didn't should have copied all the documents you sent in for the rebate, and send them again with a threat that you will report Pinnacle for mail fraud if they do not send you your booty. Just write to the postmaster at their zipcode. Enough letters, and he'll get on their case.
I'll only get IC 8 if they put in some Menuedit features, and better stripping of unwanted language tracks and program chains. Otherwise, who needs an upgrade?

Worth the upgrade $? I don't think so for me.
For the record... I did get the $20 rebate and without being a pain.
Only took 4 months.

Is there a demo available for this yet? I couldn't get IC7 to work properly on my pc, and I want to get IC8 a try.
