TMPG cut my video =(

TMPG is so annoying. This is the second movie that it does it to me now. Anyway heres the deal. In the very very beginning (I suspect) there is a video problem. Without my permission, TMPG cuts it so then the audio file stays. or appeared skipped. The audio starts to become faster than my movie by like 20 seconds. Can anyone help me?

Sounds like the movie audio/video is getting progressively out of synch? That isn't a problem with a cut, that's a problem with incorrect audio in your original file. Is this a DivX movie you're encoding? If it's got vbr mp3 audio (technically illegal in an AVI file, but the hack makes it work), that's likely the problem. Couple of options:

1) Download VirtualDub, open up the AVI file. In the audio menu, choose Full Stream Processing. Then from the File menu, chosoe Save Wav. When you import into TMPGEnc, use the original AVI for the video, but choose the new WAV file for the audio.

2) Run it through AVISynth. You're gonna have to search the forums for how to get the audio to work this way.

3) Don't try to encode downloaded movies ;)
