I am and have been using Dvd2svcd for sometime now with Windows 98 as my O/S, mainly because I do not have any problems at all, never have. Now I am thinking about switching to Windows ME and am worried that I might be digging myself a hole...Are there any issues I should be aware of...I search the forum & dvd2svcd website and cannot find anything explicitly about this question...all my pc's specs are in my sig. and I am using dvd2svcd v1.09 Bundle 2 and TMPGEnc-2.55.38.142-Plus-EN. Thanks in advance!
P.S. - I know I am behind the times...ha-ha!

the reason you didnt find anything is because noone runs windows ME
;)

honestly, your better off sticking with 98. when you are ready to make the leap, get windows xp (you have enough ram for it)

Absolutely agree. Stay with 98SE or go to XP if your machine is strong enough to handle it. IMHO, never use ME except as a frisbee.

I also agree with the above. Either stick with 98se, or go for XP.

Oh, you should also upgrade to the latest dvd2svcd, that way
you should be able to use the latest avisynth 2.5x which
can make a difference.

I'll stick with 98se...I don't like change and I have heard about alot of compatibility issues with XP and other progs, drivers, etc....not that my system can't handle it, it's just the change. Besides, I had e laptop with XP on it and didn't really care for it.

Thanks for the help people...now back to ripping!:)
