I downloaded the latest version of DVD2SVCD and when I installed it, I chose DVDR so it would load those templates.
Now, I'm using CCE 2.50 for encoding, and Scenarist 2.7 for authoring. It all seems to go kinda ok, except for a few details.
First of all, when Scenarist is making the vobs/images, it complains that the m2v is a different duration from the sound. However, the VOBs made, will play fine in PowerDVD and there will be no sync issue, so I take it this is just a minor detail.
The real problem is the VOBs outputted. Yeah I know it also makes an image, but I usually test the VOBs in PowerDVD and then burn those. They burn fine (using DiscJuggler which I also use for my DVD Shrink rips) but the result will NOT play in my standalone, no matter what. It will simply recognize it as a DVD, and search forever.
Since all my conversions done with DVD Shrink works without a hitch, I take it that the problem is somewhere with DVD2SVCD, or rather one of the programs it uses.
I tried using IFOEdit on the VOBs, getting VTS and correcting those, but that made the DVD player not recognize the DVD at all.
I've tried following a few guides, setting everything as they tell me to, I've tried using the default settings installed by DVD2SVCD, but neither will work. The VOBs will simply not play on my standalone (a Pioneer DV343, btw).
Has anyone experienced the same problem, and are of you able to assist me in getting those rips working?
