Yeah I know, but thanks mike. :)

I was being sarcastic towards the author of this prog as he seems far more worried about piracy of his product than letting people even try it out. I understand his concerns but to offer a product of this type on a "buy before you try" basis is an insult to any potential user with more than two brain cells IMHO. :sly:

There is a return policy. So if you buy it and don't like it you can get your money back.

From the website:
"If you aren't satisfied with Dvd95Copy within 10 days, send an email to info@dvd95copy.com with some short description about your complaints, and you'll get a full refund."

I have found Digi to be responsive and a straight shooter. This is the type of programmer that we should support with our bucks. The 1.6 version worked just fine for me and now we see even more features added. i just downloaded the 1.7 beta today and will start ttesting. I had a hard drive crash a few weeks ago. I have yet to reload IC7.0. Maybe I will just sell it on Ebay?

I forgot about that money back guarantee

I think it's the best offer of a trial you could ever have seeing as if you ain't happy you get your money back and not that many took it up as far as I know

I can't complain as I got my for free in the 1st place :D and it's nice to see DVD95Copy back on the move after being so quiet for a while

at one time it was ahead in the feature stakes as it was the 1st to offer a supported title removal and looked like it would get better but sadly didn't and the pace slowed right down and Digi seemd to disappear for a while. Just look at Wiz-Dom's posts over at the DVD95Copy forums, he nearly went crazy

I asked Digimedic to change the title removal method when he first implemented it as people wouldn't realise what it did but he said was happy to leave it the way it was. I did a guide and it's still on his site but that's for 1.4 as I ain't updated it since as nothing major really changed as the basics were the same. It deletes the complete titleset and not just individual titles :(, at least it does put a blank VOB in it's place and replace all the PGC's with the 0.xx entries in the IFO

it's got some catching up to do but you never know in this game :)

Feature wise this program still beats DVD2One, as does the image quality. I for one just don't have the time for CCE "proper" backups anymore, yet there are some nice collections and TV Series I would like to have backups of. This program has never let me down.

Just out of curiosity (and not to start another "which one is best" debate), how would you say it compares to DVD Shrink v3.0 beta 5, both in terms of features and quality?

Some guides you might be interested in reading if you're not familiar with v3.0 beta 5. ;)

Yeah I don't want to start one of those type of threads either. To be perfectly honest I havn't really used DVDShrink after v2.3. As I said before free time is a rarity for me these days. I did glance over the program and the newer v3.0s seem very feature rich. I havn't encoded with it so maybe someone else that has experience with both programs can better answer your questions.

"I havn't encoded with it so maybe someone else that has experience with both programs can better answer your questions."

Thanks, but it's not necessary.
I'm moderator at the official DVD Shrink forums, and have also read quite a few posts on the subject in other forums. ;)
More importantly, I have also made my own mind, conducting some tests.
But I'm always interested in hearing why some prefer one software over another though, as I believe it can only help DVD Shrink developer to know what DVD Backupers think and want. :)

The 1.7 Beta is working perfect for me. What kind of price can I get for IC7 with the original box and disk?
I bought both programs and DVD95 has won out for me.

just to comment on the "buy before you try" method. it is the same idea that has been used by telemarketing for years of course. the thinking behind it ? simple, a lot of people will not bother to send it back once they have it even if they are not 100% satisfied.

so if you tried a demo and found a problem or feature missing etc you may have second thoughts and buy something else. if you buy first and find the same thing you are less likly to send it back and will probably put up with the shortcoming.

this is not a criticism of it just a reason why this method is usually used.so long as you realise this and are prepared the decision you make is your own responsability.

I think that's taking encode/transcoding software a bit too serious m8 but I think I know what you mean. lol :D

I would say you can get about $10.00 for Instantcopy 7, given that Instantcopy 8 is now out and Instantcopy 7 was on sale at lots of retailers for free after rebate.
