I am having problems splitting a disc in IfoEdit, There is no Video in the first chapter of either disc.
What is weird is that I split several discs that play fine (this was my first successful method of backup) I did not have this problem until after I installed DVDshrink on my system, only to find out that on my 51’’ Sony Plasma, the quality degradation from DVDshrink is horrendous. The only redeeming quality of shrink is in using it as a fast stripping tool to get rid of menus, subtitles, and extra soundtracks that I don’t need.
Since then I have not been able to create a working split DVD using IfoEdit, unless you can consider a DVD with no beginning and a one chapter intermission as working. I am following the steps exactly as before. I am tired of burning coasters, please help.
Update: sorry i left this out so long. i fixed the problem by changing the VOB size to 1GB instead of 1/2GB
