How to find out if B-Frames and GMC were used on an AVI?

Is there a proggy that will show me what kind of encoding was used on a specific avi file. Meaning...did it use GMC or Bi-Di or Qpel?

Secondly...

Is there a viewer out there which will allow me to play two encodes of the same movie on the screen at the same time to compare quality side by side?

How do I go about doing this? I have some avi files I encoded and want to run comparisons with newer 5.1 encodes of same film but would like to know what settings I used for the 5.05 encode. Meaning did I use Bi-directional, GMC or Qpel.

Is there a way to find this out?
