Ripping pauses after 40-50%

Hi guys...

I'm using Robot4rip which utilizes DVD Decryptor and I've only managed to successfully complete a rip once (using ASPI driver). Every other time I try to rip the program gets to about 40-50% and the DVD-Rom stops spinning and the program stops reading. Then my computer blocks up completely....can't even close anything...:scared:

I have RICOH MP9120 and haven't had a problem in the past....Smartripper still works fine...reads at a relatively constant speed....wheres DVD Decryptor is always faster then slower....and always fluctuating...

Anybody got any ideas???

What is your operating system? If it is Win98/Me than it would make sense that the discs that contain about 8 gigs of data stop at about 50% and the disk that happened to be small ripped just fine.

I'm using Windows XP

I think I solved my problem...The Hard Drive I was ripping to was highly fragmented...which meant that it couldn't find adequate space to put the *.vob files...

Well at least I think its because of that...
