I have Nero 6 problems - stops at 2%. The A05 came with Nero 5530 and I tried 551050 - same issue - burn stops at 2%. I'm trying Nero 6.0.0.15 now - also stops at 2%.

I'm trying to burn Data DVD's on Princo 4x white tops. I've burned 150+ movies with DVD Decrypter & Clone DVD on the same media so the Thinkpad (XP Pro SP1) - USB2 external DVD burner combo works - but not with Nero. I couldn't burn movies on Nero either so I tried CloneDVD 1171 - works great - but doesn't do Data DVDs - or I haven't figured out how to do them.

The full movies burn at 4x so no problems with data rates, etc. The A05 is updated to latest 133 firmware. I've used the Nero cleaning and reg check software to reinstall Nero 5 and 6 - still same issues. I've tried the Princo's at 2x and 1x and even tried DVD-RW - all screw up.

Any next ideas?

Well I've found a work around - dump and purge Nero 5 and 6 and install Record Now 4.5.

It works - I can now make DVD data disks and use CloneDVD for movies - both work properly - phuque nero.

Strange...Nero 5.5.8.2 and Nero 6 work fine on my system...I've been using Nero for over a year now without problems, first on my A03 and then on my NEC 1300A. Even when I don't load Nero 6 its being used because my alternate program is Imagetools which is just using the Nero engine and acts as a front end.

What OS are you running?? maybe you should let them know about the bug so they can fix it.

I had same problem with Nero (both 5 and 6) when I installed small
utility "CallerID" for ISDN. As it name says it shows callers number
on my ISDN line. Since problem apeared aproximately at the same time,
I thought that it must be connected with recent installation.
After removing CallerID, everything worked fine again.

So you can check is there any recent installed utility or application
that can be source of problem.
