I've been doing some captures direct from a TV source recently. I've got the ATI All in Wonder 128 Pro with the internal TV tuner and external capture breakout box. I've also got about 1/2 terabyte so I decide early on to use the Huffy codec so that I can get all the data and then let CCE decide what needs to be compressed. I did some initial testing with the ATI MMC MPEG-2 native capture and I was not pleased with the results especially on text. I've used CCE natively and with one of the all in one front ends like DoCCE or BatchCCE and I am getting the same issue. Basically the problem is that the video looks either very good or excellent. No issues to report on that. However, when you hit pause on the remote the picture distorts badly and produces a "ghosting" effect that is annoying. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
