I have been trying to encode several different PAL DVD movies using TMPG and DVD2AVI. I correctly make the d2v file using DVD2AVI and when I play it it displays the correct length of the movie.
I then use 2 pass VBR to encode the d2v file in tmpg and when it eventually finishes and i play the m2v file Windows Media player classic says the length of the file is less than half that of the d2v file. The m2v file contains the full movie and it plays at the correct speed (I can jump to any point, the whole movies there and it always plays at the correct speed).
Obviouslly this wouldn't bother me as everything plays OK except when I remux the m2v into vobs I get progresivly worse asynch audio.
Anyone know whats happening here?
Thanks
