View Full Version : How to combine 2 Xvid movies?

I have two Xvid file (one movie) and I would like to join/connect them together as one because on TMP, the file will take around 3 CD but if I do each of them two separately, later I'll have to divide those and use 4 CD. Anyway, the question is, what should I use to combine those two together?

Run VirtualDubMod

Then open up the first movie file...

Select Video "Direct Stream Copy"...

Select Audio "Direct Stream Copy"...

Then go to file "Append Movie segement"....

Then save your newly created joint movie

*Note*
If you experience audio out of sync...
Before going to save your newly created joint movie go to the Video tab and select "select range" There you'll see "End Offset" change the "Frames" box number to 15 it should be enough offset to keep in synch. You may have to increase or decrease a little though. During playback you may experience a jump in a movie as it skips a keyframe. So if it's to small the picture will freeze and the audio will keep on going. Just have to experiment a little.

Hope that helps you out m8, if I'm wrong about anything sorry for misleading you. But you shouldn't have any problems!

Before I do, would a 888 MB vcd movie fit on a 700 MB disc? (its only like 66 min long)

The max file size that you can put on a 700 MB CD is 800 MB, if I'm not mistaken.
So, the answer is "no".

You'd have to buy a 90 Min CD. It can hold 800 MB in Mode 1 and 900 MB (not shure) in Mode 2, which is used if you burn a VCD...
(If I'm not mistaken :D)

There are 99 minute cds as well, and they're even rarer.

What company makes 90 or 99 min cd? Are they supported by most CD-rw. Mine is like last year model and how much does the 90 min cd cost?
