It's out! As usually, we were forced to give up on some functionality but it's nothing serious. Oh well Also, we'll try to shorten the development cycle and release new version at least every two weeks. Alpha 7 will be the last of the alpha releases - then we'd like to spend more time optimizing and making the player more user friendly - which is really necessary before we start adding some new features such as DVD playback and others.
What's new :
- Added Playrate notification messages
- Added DataSink Server Kernel Object for dynamic data exchange among applications
- Added Upside-down Flip for solving problems with incompatible video decoders
- Added OSD Property Page for detailed settings
- New Skinned User Interface - this time only hardcoded ...
- Minimode rewritten - enlarged resize area ... window is much more comfortable now
- Added Subtitle Support - SubRip, SubViewer 1 & 2, MicroDVD
- OSD Filter updated - supports subtitle rendering with extensive settings
- Control Panel redesigned a bit + new banner images
- Detailed playback module debug logfile
- Added strict kernel version checking - needed for secure module handling
- Better Unicode compatibility
- Live Update fully working now (well, it's locked at the moment)
Bug fixes :
- OSD Controls now disappear when mouse leaves window area
- AC3 Filter issue solved - now it is detected properly
- Drag & Drop issue resolved
