why has audio suddenly jumped ahead of video ?

[The Rig]

converted an avi file to vcd.
all is fine upto about halfway thru then suddenly the audio gets about 20 seconds ahead of the video !!!!!

wtf is going on here, its not the avi file because if i run it on my p.c its fine.
i re-burnt the file but to cd but it still did it,,, if i run the cd on dvd player or p.c it is still like it, so its not the dvd player.

any ideas ?

As i stated, I dont know how to fix it but if there was an error in the movie, the tmp thing skipped the audio in the period of the fragment/error but the video stays in play. I know this cause it happened to me, you can try to cut the piece out or ask more people for help.
