I love DVD2DVD...it worked really well about 3 times now for me. I just wish it didn't use up so much disk space. But I guess that's unavoidable...though I noticed it has multiple copies of the m2v files and ac3 files. Twice now it wasn't able to build the image cause it ran out of space. I had like 12 or 15 gigs free...I guess I need another hard drive although I got 3 already :)

have you tried unchecking "Don't delete any files" in the misc tab? That should clear up some space.

If your ripping and converting onto the same hard drive then that would make the space needed exceed 12-15+/- GIG. If you've already ripped the DVD to your hard drive then make sure activate DVD ripping is unchecked in DVD2SVCD or set the rip directory to one of your other hard drives.

you need 27-30GB free space.

If this option becomes available might be able to save 4.37GB

also if you do PAL rather than NTSC you don't need to do pulldown which saves another 4GBs about.

I'm puzzled by this option. When you choose it then all the Scenarist options are unavailable. Does that mean you don't get subtitles and chapters?

hummmmm....good question!
i never did chapters using d2s.
i don't make(never did)images and when needed i use
permanent subs (works very fine without images)
and build the chapters using vcdeasy!

really don't know!
