DVDShrink 3.0 Beta5 Question (Deep Analysis via backup screen)

When I'm currently using DVDShrink I do these steps:

1) Load the files and it does its first quick analysis
2) From the file menu select "Deep Analysis" to do a DA.
3) Then click backup to perform the backup.

I've noticed that if you haven't done the deep analysis and you do the backup that there will be a checkbox on the backup screen to do a deep analysis as it backs up. I tried that and the amount of time it took wasn't any longer than a regular backup so I didn't think it really did the deep analysis.

Does anybody have any experience with doing the deep analysis this way? I've always done the deep analysis in the separate step via the File menu so I know for sure that it was done. If doing it on the fly works, that would be one less step for me. :-)

If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know.

I have used this feature a few times, and DVD Shrink always did the Deep Analysis.
Not only does it take longer than a normal backup, but the analysis progress is also indicated in the window title bar. ;)

I posted this somewhere else today regarding the deep analysis as I'm sure if you do the analysis first then the automatic % settings are different than the quick analysis because DVDShrink has a better idea of how it can reduce the video in each separate title therefore you make you % settings based on the deep analysis

if it does it after you have set the % then would that notbe different? :confused:

I might be wrong so I guess the only way to find out is to try it :(

I almost always do my backups that way - select deep analysis in the backup dialog. It always takes roughly twice as long for me.
