Does anybody knows a commandline to encode my ac3 into wav so that i could mix it up with the video file in virtual dub?
The thing is that i have now always ac3---> vbr-mp3.
But now i extract the audio from the movie, into wav and then mix it again with the movie so that it could be oaded into Virtual dub.
This is way to much work i think.
isn't there any better solution to this?

Javie

PS: i don't want to make use of video+ac3, or video+vbr-mp3 or whatever.
Just need to get a wav file that goes in sync with the video.
currently i'm doing this.
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "C:\movie\s1\movie.ac3" -output "C:\movie\s1\movie.mp3" ) -ota( -d 39 )
then i load the video file into nandub, direct stream copy, audio i chose that mp3 file, then i get an output video+audi, then i startup virtual dub, save the wav file. then i startup virtual dub again, load video, load wav file, output video+wav audio. way to much work i think.. maybe somebody got a much much better solution? cause i try to encode the encoded video with audio also in TMPGenc to mpeg with audio.. and with ac3 or vbr-mp3 as audio that's not possible:-(

It is not clear what your input file type is and your desired output. Are you ripping from a vob? What are you trying to achieve? There are many routes to take. Give us a little more info.

DVDdecrypter ---> vobs, DVD2AVI---> *.d2v + ac3 ----> Gknot--->*.avs
then from *.avs----> Virtual dub ( XviD )

This is kind of a weird DVD ripping setup, but why not do your own thing :).

To get a wave just use besweet something like:

"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "C:\movie\s1\movie.ac3" -output "C:\movie\s1\movie.wav" -2ch ) -ota( -d 39 )

I'd also recommend adding a '-azid ( -L -3db )' to mix the LFE into the other channels. DRC might not be a bad idea either.

@Javie: I haven't done this, but you could use an ACM AC3 decoder into VDub and encode directly to mp3 or whatever format you want. To get such a codec take a look at these threads: There are two available!:

AC3 ACM driver (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61119)
Virtualdub AC3 having problems with... AC3! (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61043)

Hope that helps, :J

Hi Javie. Why using wav?? It costs a lot of space!

Anyway why you don't download VirtualdubMOD?? It permits you to mux mp3,ac3,dts,ogg,etc. with AVI, really better than the normal Virtualdub :) You can find it in http://www.doom9.org 's download section.
