Are there projects to build divx player ?

I was wondering if any of you guys know if there are any linux projects, so you can build your own divx player.

I've got an old 1000 Mhz system wich i want to modify so it can play divx to a television.

I know there are projects but i can't find them anymore, if someone has any links please let me know.
