I'm really new at this and have been frustrated by my inability to take a Divx encoded file(with AC3 audio)that is an avi and encode it so that Nero 6.0 will accept it for video. I have already ran the audio by saving it as a wav and stipping off the "wav header" and now have a 'audio_fixed01.AC3 file that Nero seems to have no problem with...but the video(encoded using TMPGencoder)shows up as a .m2v and Nero won't accept it. Does anyone feel like throwing me a bone and offering some suggestions that would help me out. It's hard being a newbie, but we have to start somewhere.

Welcome to the forum.

Doom9 has an AVI -> DVD guide. His example uses CCE rather than TMPGEnc, but it may help you with missing steps, such as DVD authoring.
