Hi there,

I was just trying to find something that would convert perhaps 10 to 20 AC3 files to 126 kbps Ogg Vorbis. I found multi frontend (http://home.wanadoo.nl/~w.speek/multi.htm) but this does not handle AC3. I would also need to handle the two general types of AC3 for example:

rtp_01 AC3 T01 3_2ch 448Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3
and
rtp_01 AC3 T02 2_0ch 192Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3

So the batch program would have to be able to specify LFE to LR Channels -3db when needed. I know I could in theory write out a very long batch script but this seems about as time consuming as doing them one by one in OggMachine.
I also saw that there is a possibility of adding a right click context menu but as this cannot handle the different 3_2ch 2_0ch files this would not be suitable.

Anyone found an easy solution?

Many Thanks

use the batch mode in BeSweetGUI ~~> http://dspguru.doom9.net

I used to have a DVD ripping batch (win 2k/xp) that parsed the stream information file produced by dvd decrypter and determined whether an audio stream was 6 or 2 channels...but of course this only works if you're ripping from DVD, which it doesn't sound like you are. But if you're interested I could post some sample code. Let me know,

Hi Kurtnoise13. I will see if BeSweetGUI v0.6b61 handles batch style AC3 to Ogg Vorbis.

Thanks for the quick reply Kpex. I do indeed have a bunch of left over AC3 files that I want to make 2 and 3 audio track versions of movies. I would manually specify 3_2 or 2_0 parameters but I will check out BeSweet like I say.

Thanks All.

I have had a quick look through the docs and actual BeSweetGUI v0.6b61 program and the batch mode only seems to handle LAME and tooLAME (mpeg) output but what I really want is something like this that does Ogg Vorbis output.

You're wrong. Download the latest Besweet's GUI and beta. You can use the batch mode also to output OGGs.

Ok. I'll try the beta. Just testing it to see if I can do the 6 or 2 channel prams in batch mode.

Yes, you just have to configure the OGG section and then go to the batch mode.
