24 FPS conversion Q (audio desynch)

Tried searching the forum, but as "24" was too short a search string, narrowing down the results was near impossible :/

Anyway, my problem is this: I have an AVI that's 24 FPS (VirtualDubMod says 23.999 actually), and using AVI2SVCD, the audio ends up out of synch). Tried using ConvertFPS in AVI snyth, but the results were even worse. I'm hoping to output a 23.97 (29.97 playback) mpg file - any suggestions? Do I have to convert the audio file separately outside of DVD2SVCD(AVI2SVCD)? If so, how? Thanks in advance...

im not particularely a fan of the search function not allowing short search words (i can see 1 letter but 2 might be the difference between having to post the question and finding the answer).. although in this case.. the issue isnt the '24' its the audio sync

so

audio sync avi2svcd (or dvd2svcd) would have been a good search.. anywho.. being one to take the bull by the horns.. i would just throw the audio into cooledit.. sync the time to the video (the encoded mpeg video) convert to mp2 and be done with it

this thread has a suggestion that may help with the use of virtualdub

Thanks w00kiee - I was hoping there was a way to do it internally within AVI2SVCD, but I guess I'll toss it into Cooledit/Goldwave as you suggested and time stretch/shrink to make it fit...

Now to do a search and see if it's normal for avi2svcd to not pass a switch to besweet to do framerate conversion when using AssumeFPS (sucks to have to re-do audio seperately)...
