I've fallen pray to this bug too.
Bottem line, use Nero 5.5.10.42 or Nero 6.0.0.11 if you need to write an oversized disc.

It's not just overburning. Many people including me can't even burn 700mb to 700mb cdr.

After upgraded to the latest Nero 6.0.0.15 from Nero 6.0.0.11, I burned 2 DVD videos that are unreadible....
CONCLUSION:
Upgrading is very risky.

Also the PIONEER A05 firmware 1.33 causes incompatibility in laser calibration to the X4 Ritek DVD-R. After I downgraded back to firmware 1.3, the problem is solved.

I have a crash with 6.0.0.15 whenever I try to choose something from the File menu. Great work:D

The old 5.5 works like a charm.

What happened to Ahead Software?

When I first got my burner I put on 6.0.0.0 (first edition of the 6 Ultra). No problems, then I upgraded to .09 and my new burner turned into a coaster maker. I have .11, which has been working. When .15 came (like a week after .09) the little hairs on the back of my neck said "DON"T FIX IT IF IT AIN'T BROKE, STUPID". Of course I did not upgrade and have read very few GOOD things about this upgrade.

Is there an fix out for this overburning-fault? I have Nero 5.5.10.50, and a friend has 6.0.0.15.
